Comparative oxygen transport and animal-model research added

Seven animal-study publications added to the shared veterinary search, now 267 records. Science links these studies and Vadapalli, Goldman & Popel (2002). The 30-paper review added 27 new publications across six research directions: studies comparing red blood cells and extracellular hemoglobin carriers by actual oxygen transport, rather than hemoglobin concentration alone.

Five oxygenation and microcirculation research publications added

Relevant shared research: five Dyson/Singer studies were added to the BHOC Oxygen Diffusion & Microcirculation catalogue, providing background on tissue oxygenation, shock and organ perfusion. The studies are not veterinary BHOC efficacy data. The Oxygen Diffusion & Microcirculation catalogue now lists 215 records; the five BHOC Evidence Library collections contain 923 placements in total.

BHOC Veterinary Therapeutics, also known as BHOC Vet, is led by Archil Jaliashvili. The BHOC Species & Biodiversity Protection Initiative connects oxygen delivery science with the future of animal health and species protection.

Our foundation is comparative biology: different species have different blood group systems, yet most vertebrates share hemoglobin-based oxygen transport. We explore how this foundation can inform species-specific research and development.
