In its 2009 report, Veterinary Practice News described the growth of veterinary blood banks and a practical principle: provide the blood component each patient needs.[1]

BHOC Veterinary invites donor blood banks and veterinary clinics to collaborate in Precision Oxygen Therapeutics. Our Biological Hemoglobin Oxygen Carrier programme aims to develop complementary tissue oxygen support, with clinical teams helping define research priorities, monitoring and meaningful patient outcomes.

BHOC Veterinary Therapeutics, also known as BHOC Vet, is led by Archil Jaliashvili. The BHOC Species & Biodiversity Protection Initiative connects oxygen delivery science with the future of animal health and species protection.

Our foundation is comparative biology: different species have different blood group systems, yet most vertebrates share hemoglobin-based oxygen transport. We explore how this foundation can inform species-specific research and development.
